Transmission parameters for data Direct Broadcast Service may vary from satellite to satellite in detail. Please find out the difference from the reference paper Frequencies Used by Current and Future FengYun Satellite Systems in the Support area.
Both FengYun geostationary and FengYun polar-orbiting satellite systems provide Direct Readout Service. Users equipped with proper data acquisition facilities can directly receive data from the satellite broadcast. For updated information of transmission frequencies please refer to Frequent Management.
The FY-2 satellites transmit full-disk imagery of VISSR instrument in SVISSR format. FY-4A transmits L1 data of AGRI and GIIRS instruments in HRIT (High Rate Information Transmission) format. To receive the SVISSR/HRIT data transmission, users need to set up proper acquisition equipments. For technical consultation, please contact the ShineTek company, which is dedicated to R&D in hardware and software for meteorological satellite application.
HRIT | Frequency | Bandwidth | Polarization | Antenna | Data rate |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1687.5 MHz | 2.0 MHz | linear | Diameter ~ 3 m, G/T ~ 6.0dB/K | 660 kbps |
The operational polar-orbiting satellites FY-3s provide direct readout service for users with two spectral bands in HRPT (High Resolution Picture Transmission) and AHRPT (also referred to as MPT, Medium-resolution Picture Transmission) formats separately.
HRPT | Frequency | Bandwidth | Polarization | Antenna | Data rate |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1700.4MHz | 5MHz | right-hand circular | diameter~ 2m G/T ~ 21.4 dB/K | 1.33 Kbps |
AHRPT | Frequency | Bandwidth | Polarization | Antenna | Data rate |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
7775 MHz | 45 MHz | diameter ~ 3 m G/T ~ 21.4 dB/K | diameter~ 2m G/T ~ 21.4 dB/K | ~ 21.4 dB/K |
